A New Energy-efficient Multi-hop Routing Protocol for Heterogeneous Wireless Sensor Networks

Energy use of sensor nodes efficiently and extending the lifetime heterogeneous wireless networks (HWSNs) is a main goal HWSNs routing optimization methods, therefore building an energy-efficient protocol becomes critical for HWSN performance improvement. They present based on grey wolf optimizer (GWO) Tabu search algorithm (TSA) in this paper. Proposed system with primary objectives include clustering selection cluster heads (CH) utilizing GWO fitness function residual energy average distance between CH sink base station (BS ) due to mobility sensors, quality service (QoS) parameters such as reliability consumption can be improved by discovering multiple optimized paths data transmission from BS TSA selecting optimal route forwarding reliable packets (FRRPs). The experimental results indicate that proposed tabu Search Algorithm (GWO-TSA) reduce 10% 20%, increase 13% 18%, finally throughput 6% 14% when compared genetic (GA-TSA) crow (GWO-CSA). When GA-TSA & GWO-CSA, simulation reveals GWO-TSA improves minimizing consumption, maximizing network lifetime, boosting throughput.
